Black Alumni

We are working to make the Black Alumni Association a strong and vibrant organization with a focus on providing leadership, scholarships, networking, mentoring and the sponsoring of various events for our alums and Black students. We hope that you will get involved and remain connected with fellow alums of all ages, as well as with our students in the Black Student Union and those in other student of color organizations in the schools and colleges. Mission Statement 
The mission of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Black Alumni Association is to support participation in University life, to promote the education of current Black students, to provide scholarships, encourage students to attend and graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, to recognize achievement among alumni and to ensure an avenue for continued Black Alumni involvement.

Harris Alumni Center
The Alumni Association has embarked on the development of the new Harris Alumni Center. We, the Black Alumni Association of UNC Charlotte, support this vision. In conjunction with Arthur Wylie Financial Services, Inc., the Black Alumni Association has pledged $10,000 for a conference room within the Harris Alumni Center, and we need the help of all Black Alumni to reach this goal. Achieving this vision will give us the opportunity to develop a strong African American presence within the University and Charlotte community.

In order for us to stay abreast of donations received, please send your donation to the address listed below and make checks payable to the UNC Charlotte Foundation. Please specify with an accompanying letter stating that your donation is to be applied towards the Black Alumni Association's pledge to the Harris Alumni Center. You will receive a receipt for your donation from the Office of University Development.

We need your current information to add to our address database so that you can receive updates about events and other pertinent black alumni information. Please send your name, complete address, contact number, year of graduation and email to Bobbette Willis at bwillis@unccblackalumni.org . In the subject line of the email, please put “UNCC Black Alumni.” Please forward all UNC Charlotte Black Alumni Association comments and inquires to comments@unccblackalumni.org .
