The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association has formed a Young Alumni Chapter. The Chapter has been created to engage young alumni with the Association and the University. The Chapter, which was chartered by the Association on July 1, 2008, is guided by a 24 member Board of Directors.

“Half of our alumni base graduated from UNC Charlotte in the last 15 years. The Young Alumni Chapter is a fantastic way to engage them early on and will hopefully keep them connected to the University throughout their lives,” said Chip Rossi, director of Alumni Affairs.

The Board will meet periodically at the Harris Alumni Center. Members include: Adam Bridgers ‘06, president; Keisa Hines ‘06, vice president; Tongreia Norman ‘00, secretary; Jamal Briggs ‘05; Russell Brown ‘06; Anissa Burton ‘98; Stephen Collie ‘02; Joseph Franco ‘06; Lisa Gaskin ‘07; Mandeep Gill ‘08; Kevin Harward ‘01; Kim Hodges ‘00; Jason Keath ‘05; Ryan McDaniels ‘01; Beau Memory ‘02; Adam Montgomery; Lewis Morgan ‘08; Sarah Peifer ‘07; Justin Ritchie ‘07; Tara Sekayi Robinson ‘04; Aisha Thomas ‘03; Stephanie Steiger ‘05; Steve Steiger ‘04; and Daphne Williams ‘04.

Several events have already been slated by the Board. On Monday, September 15th they will host a networking reception at Ri-Ra’s Irish Pub in uptown Charlotte, and on Sunday, September 28th they will host a tailgate party before watching the Carolina Panthers take on the Atlanta Falcons.
