Alumni recruiting is an opportunity for the Office of Admissions and the Alumni Association to work together to find potential UNC Charlotte students. Through this program, UNC Charlotte Alumni are asked to assist in increasing the visibility of UNC Charlotte by referring high school students for admission to UNC Charlotte.
Heather Baum, assistant director of admissions, serves as coordinator of alumni recruitment. She is responsible for coordinating the efforts to train alumni on the admissions and college selection process, provide up-to-date information to alumni, represent UNC Charlotte at college fairs, and host prospective student events. By collecting student information given by alumni, the Admissions Office can begin to actively recruit those students referred through various means including mailings, phone calls, and e-mails.
Alumni who give referrals may be contacted via phone, letter, or e-mail to keep them up-to-date on the student which they referred.
