Portrait Homes has donated $6,000 to the UNC Charlotte Alumni Association through its Corporate Partnership with Charlotte 49ers Athletics to be used for student scholarships. The donation will be divided among four students, with two students receiving $2,000 each and two students receiving $1,000 each.

The scholarship recipients will be chosen based on academic performance. One of the $2,000 recipients and one of the $1,000 recipients will be awarded during halftime of the UNC Charlotte v. Maryland men’s basketball game on January 5th, 2008 at Bobcats Arena. The other pair will be awarded at the St. Joe’s men’s basketball game on January 16th, 2008 at Halton Arena.

“We are extremely grateful to Portrait Homes for their wonderful gift. Their contribution will make a tremendous difference in the lives of four of our students, and anything we can do to make it easier for a student to attend UNC Charlotte we want to do,” said Chip Rossi, director of Alumni Relations.
